iNDOOR SPORTS COURT

DISTRIBUTION CENTERS

OVERVIEW

An indoor multi-purpose space used for sport and event execution. This space is mandatory for all facilities, the type of Court and sport(s) should be determined by the local team.

Design Goals

  • Locate near main amenities such as Foodhall, Gym, Shopfloor Entry, Restrooms, and equipment storage.
  • Determine court size (half or full) based on employee numbers and facility size.
  • Determine the primary locally-relevant sports or activities the court will accommodate to inform its size, layout, and surface requirements.
  • Offer 'something for everyone' with multiple markings and lines, ensuring clear visibility and accuracy.
  • Utilize mesh or permeable materials to allow visibility into the space.
  • Ensure primary entrances are barrier-free and provide equal access for everyone into the court, regardless of ability.
  • Design the court to accommodate events, town halls, All Hands, and All-shift meetings. Consider sightlines and capacity.
  • Incorporate storage solutions that support both equipment and event needs, promoting seamless transitions between activities.
