Coach Focus Room

DISTRIBUTION CENTERS

OVERVIEW

Coach Focus Rooms are non-bookable spaces for coaches to focus, collaborate, and conduct confidential tasks and discussions with employees. This space type is optional based on the size of the Shopfloor, access to shared and office space, and local code.

Note: In North America, confirm if the local code requires permitting approval for Coach Focus Room installation. Fixing the room to the floor may be necessary for fire suppression requirements.

This space type is most comparable to the Corporate Space type Focus Room.

Design Goals

  • The Coach Flex Desk and Coach Focus Room are essential 'Coach Zone' work settings on the Shopfloor, ideally arranged and positioned together.
  • Location should be connected to Operational Zone employees (not isolated/tucked away)
  • Consider proximity to noise and dust, natural light access, views, and key circulation routes
  • Support individual focus work, virtual calls, and in-person conversations
  • Design for high sound and visual privacy through furniture layout and acoustic materials
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team for optimal placement of settings
  • Adjustable setup for MHE (material handling equipment) reconfiguration (North American permitting may affect flexibility)
  • Consider furniture solutions with a fire safety roof opening system.
