SUSTAINABILITY
CORPORATE OFFICES
OVERVIEW
We have a responsibility to reduce our impact on the planet from the way we manufacture and distribute products to the way we design, build and operate our offices.
The sustainability standards focus not only on Energy and Waste but also on Water and Indoor Health. Additionally, we have included optional best practices, offering teams guidance on how to go above the mandated requirements.
These standards should be considered a minimum requirement for all global projects and project teams can opt to go above the mandated requirements as priority and budget allows.
Sustainability Standard Goals
Nike’s 2025 Enterprise Targets and
GPS Sustainability Targets
have been translated into these goals that are directly tied to the built environment, prioritizing sustainability metrics that directly impact Nike targets.
ENERGY USE
15% reduction in total emissions from building energy use (scope 1 & 2)
Reduce fleet vehicle emissions (scope 1)
RENEWABLE ENERGY
100% renewable energy
WATER
30% less water use
ZERO WASTE
20% less waste generated by employees
100% waste diverted from landfill or zero waste
- Our goals include reducing GHG emissions in our owned and operated facilities through 100% renewable electricity, fleet electrification and reduction of direct emissions.
- Nike’s vision is zero waste, period. We are targeting zero waste by focusing on reducing the waste disposed per employee through sustainable procurement, zero waste guidelines and employee education. Aiming to achieve 100% recycling, composting and landfill diversion.
