ENVIRONMENTS
CORPORATE OFFICES
OVERVIEW
We think about every step of the journey, for employees and guests, to build spaces that are uniquely Nike – reflecting our brand and our culture.
The workplace should empower our employees to choose how, where, and with whom to work their best. We strive to create an equitable experience for all teammates, regardless of their location, role, or abilities.
The Environments standards focus on building spaces that are:
- High-functioning
- Accessible and inclusive
- Sustainable
- Easy-to-navigate
- Designed to have seamless technology
The requirements target these areas to provide global consistency. Our regional design teams will
assess programming needs and tailor the character to the local team.
Space Types
Our workplace is a balance of shared spaces - from the bustling, high-energy of the hub to quiet, heads-down focus rooms. This mix supports a diversity of workstyles, preferences, and activity types. The Environments standards detail performance requirements for our typical spaces, which are organized by the user journey.
Our regional design teams will provide direction for any specialty spaces that should also be included.
Guardrails
The guardrails are the approved financial budget allowances used to fund GPS Design and Construction projects. Costs vary by type of project, and a multiplier is applied to account for local building costs. The numbers are based on industry benchmarking, GPS standards cost estimating, and recent internal project costs.
