Nike’s vision is zero waste, period. Move to zero is Nike’s journey toward zero carbon and zero waste to help protect the future of the sport.
GPS focuses on meeting this vision, by working to generate 20% less waste by our athletes and continuing to work toward the goal of 100% waste diverted from the landfill.
We need to design and set our spaces up for success, by creating waste stations that are easy to use and appropriately sized.
Construction and demolition waste makes up close to 40%* of the total solid waste stream in the United States and about 25%** in the European Union. Our construction teams need to be focused on diverting waste from the landfill and accurately reporting the information back to headquarters so our team can continually see where we have room for improvement in working towards a zero-waste future.
